Spirulina is a spiral microalgae recognized as a remarkable source of essential nutrients and micronutrients. It contains on average more than 65% protein and is a natural concentrate of vitamins and minerals (iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, boron, selenium, zinc, chromium, etc.). It also contains amino acids including the 8 essential amino acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids and beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A).
